Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey's: Ever Present, will honor Gordon Parks and his tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr. with excerpts of the Gordon Parks’ 1990 ballet composed and directed film Martin, a ballet in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. along with Gordon's commitment to the arts as a cultural phenomenon that captures the imagination and liberates the soul.
