PLEASE NOTE:

Starting this Friday, June 6 - July 25, 2025, the Gordon Parks Museum will be closed on Fridays, along with the campus at Fort Scott Community College.

The Museum will also be closed July 1- 2, along with the campus for the Independence Day Holiday.

Summer 2026 General Operating Hours

Monday - Thursday from 9:00 - 4:00 p.m.

June 4 - July 31, 2026

It may also be opened on Fridays and the weekends for

special tours and events.

Please call before you visit to make sure the Museum is open, as it is closed during school/ campus breaks & for meetings, travel, etc.

Guests requiring accommodations to fully enjoy the Museum are encouraged to contact the Museum and request the accommodation(s) required.

Admissions

There is no cost to visit the museum. Donations are certainly appreciated, but not required.
